Simmons Program ( Grades 5 – 8 )

In two-week sessions, students entering 5th through 8th grades face physical challenges like rock climbing or engage in exciting activities like Ultimate Frisbee and Brazilian drumming. Then they write about their experiences. Campers reflect on their adventures in daily journals and longer polished pieces, all with the guidance and support of trained counselors and experienced classroom teachers. This is a camp for kids looking for adventure while dramatically improving their writing skills.

Boston & Beyond (Grades 9 and 10)

This program focuses on travel writing and memoir. Students entering 9th or 10th grade tour different parts of the city, participating in cultural activities and learning local histories, tasting foods, playing sports, and working on writing projects. Campers reflect on their experiences in daily journals, and each student produces a polished piece of writing to be published in the Summer Ink Collection.
